Rare Orphanage

Location- Northwest to the town of Kegelle and nestled in between the two major cities of Sri Lanka- colombo and Kandy.
This Orphanage was initiated by the Sri Lankan Government in 1975, and set on a 25-acre piece of land amidst natural setting beside the Maha Oya River. The Orphanage is originally founded to take care of the orphaned Elephants found in the wild, but today it has also becoming a captive breeding ground.It was initiated withfive orphaned baby elephants and today it maintains a strong herd of over 80 and could probably be the largest in the world.

Sea Horse

Sea Horses are found in all oceans in the world. There are 100 species, which may be white, yellow, red or blue. It vary in size (10 cm to 30 cm) and colour, but they all have same basic shape. It swims in an upright position, using its dorsal(back) fin to drive it along. It is the slowest moving fish.

THE MIZHAVU

This is "MIZHAVU" which is an instrument was used by Sri. Kunchan Nambiar in  "Ottam Thullal"

Now the "MIZHAVU" is placed at Kalithattu, in the premises of Ambalappuzha Sreeekrishna Swamy Temple in Alappuzha District, Kerala. Devottees who visit this temple can watch the instrument.

Vivekanada Rock

This is the Vivekananda Rock which is situated at Kanyakumary, in Tamilnadu. Now thousands of Tourists from various parts of our Country visits here. The main attraction is the statue is built in sea. Sufficient boat services are available to visit the place which is very attractive. 

Tourism at Alappuzha

This is a luxury house boat which is used by tourists, at Alappuzha. This house boat is having A/C rooms and other similar type of aminities.  Now house boat  is the main attraction of tourists who came to Alappuzha in Kerala. Hundreds of luxury house boats are available at the above place, now.

Ducks and Man



Hundreds of Duck on their way to their home through Punnamada lake in Alappuzha. These  Ducks are controlled by the man who is riding in a small boat.
